Our client wanted to create a bathroom that was both contemporary and sophisticated, with a sleek, clean aesthetic that would stand the test of time. They desired a neutral colour palette, but one that wouldn’t feel cold or stark. To achieve this, we focused on using grey marble tiles in two distinct styles, creating a space that is visually dynamic yet calming. Black fixtures were used throughout the bathroom to add contrast and modernity, making the space feel both bold and elegant.
We began by selecting grey marble tiles for the walls and floor, using two different styles to create texture and depth. The variation in the marble tiles not only added visual interest but also highlighted the different areas of the bathroom. The soft veining in the grey marble brought a natural elegance to the room, while the monochrome palette ensured the design would remain timeless.
The freestanding toilet was placed against a wall that had been carefully brought out to conceal the cistern, giving the bathroom a seamless, uncluttered appearance. This extended wall not only housed the cistern but also provided practical shelving space behind both the toilet and vanity unit, perfect for storing everyday essentials while maintaining the clean lines of the room. A sleek black flush plate above the toilet complemented the monochrome theme and added a touch of sophistication to this functional element.
One of the standout features of this bathroom is the stunning vanity unit. Designed with a crisp white finish, the vanity unit created a bright, clean contrast against the grey marble tiles. Its modern design, featuring black handles, added a bold touch, while the white sink sitting atop the vanity echoed the minimalistic elegance of the overall design. Above the vanity, we installed a large, rectangular backlit mirror that became a beautiful focal point of the space.
