With a desire for cutting-edge technology and clean, minimalistic lines, the client’s vision also included a wall-hung Japanese toilet, a charcoal grey vanity unit, and black fixtures throughout.
We began by selecting wood grey tiles for the floor, providing a natural, warm foundation that complemented the rest of the design. The subtle wood grain texture added depth to the space, while the grey tone ensured that it harmonised with the boldness of the emerald green shower tiles. These floor tiles grounded the bathroom with a contemporary yet timeless look.
To keep the design clean and bright, we chose white subway tiles for the walls behind the toilet and vanity unit. These tiles, with their classic look and glossy finish, created a perfect contrast against the deeper hues of the vanity and shower tiles. The combination of white tiles with black fixtures provided a modern twist on a timeless style.
The predominant feature of the room, however, was the stunning emerald green wall tiles used in the shower area. These rich, deep green tiles created an immediate visual impact, adding a sense of luxury and opulence to the space. Their glossy finish reflected light beautifully, creating a lively and vibrant atmosphere within the shower. One of the key elements of this bathroom is the inclusion of a wall-hung Japanese toilet. This cutting-edge toilet brings a new level of comfort and convenience to the bathroom, combining advanced technology with sleek, minimalist design. The wall-hung feature not only provided a modern aesthetic but also made cleaning the space much easier, enhancing the bathroom’s practicality.
The extended wall behind the toilet was designed to create a functional shelf space, perfect for displaying decor or storing everyday essentials. Above this shelf, we installed a large rectangular backlit mirror, which added a soft, ambient glow to the space. The mirror’s lighting not only brightened the room but also added a touch of modern luxury, making the bathroom feel like a high-end retreat.
The charcoal grey vanity unit provided a bold, modern contrast to the lighter tones of the subway tiles and floor. Its clean lines and sleek design fit perfectly with the minimalist aesthetic, while the white sink sitting atop the vanity added a crisp, clean look. Paired with a black tap, the vanity unit became a stylish centrepiece that balanced modern design with practicality.
The shower area was designed to be both visually striking and highly functional. We used a white shower tray, which provided a clean, bright base that contrasted beautifully with the emerald tiles and black shower fixtures. The black framed shower screen with 16 spaces added a bold, industrial touch to the space, creating a geometric pattern that framed the shower area perfectly.
Within the shower, we also included two inward built vertical shelf spaces, providing practical storage for bath products while maintaining the clean lines of the design. These shelves were seamlessly integrated into the emerald green tiles, creating a minimalist, clutter-free aesthetic.
To complete the design, we selected a white vertical standing radiator, which not only provided warmth but also added to the sleek, modern aesthetic of the bathroom. The radiator’s clean lines and minimalist design complemented the rest of the space, while its vertical placement saved space and added a sense of height to the room.
We carried the black accents throughout the bathroom, including black shower fixtures and taps, ensuring that the bold contrast against the lighter elements of the space was consistent. These touches of black provided a modern edge to the design, adding definition and sophistication.
