Our client wanted a bathroom that was accessible and easy to use while maintaining a luxurious and modern aesthetic. They sought a neutral colour palette, focusing on natural textures and subtle elegance, along with high-quality fixtures that would provide durability and ease of use. With these goals in mind, we set out to design a space that would meet their practical needs while providing a calm and refined retreat.
To create a warm, inviting atmosphere, we selected grey wood-effect tiles for the floor, lending the room a natural, sophisticated look that also offers excellent durability. The floor’s wood grain texture brought a touch of warmth to the space, balancing out the cool tones of the walls and fixtures. For the walls, we chose white marble effect tiles that add a luxurious feel and enhance the room’s light, airy ambiance. The contrast between the grey wood flooring and white marble walls created a visually appealing, elegant backdrop that set the tone for the rest of the design.
A key focus of this design was accessibility, and we incorporated a range of mobility-friendly features to make the bathroom safe and comfortable. One of the standout features is the comfort height toilet, designed to make sitting and standing easier. Positioned with a sturdy handrail beside it, the toilet provides our client with additional support and confidence. This handrail, with its sleek white finish, integrates seamlessly into the overall aesthetic, offering essential support without detracting from the room’s elegant style.
The vanity unit is a striking piece, finished in crisp white with wide chrome handles on its two spacious drawers, providing easy access to storage while adding a touch of modern sophistication. A matching chrome tap on the white sink ties the look together, while the generous size of the vanity unit allows ample storage for essentials, keeping the bathroom organised and clutter-free. Above the vanity, we installed a large rectangular backlit mirror that not only serves as a beautiful focal point but also provides a soft, ambient glow to the room, enhancing visibility and adding to the bathroom’s luxurious feel.
The shower area was designed with safety and accessibility in mind. We installed a reliable electric shower that allows for easy temperature control, ensuring our client can enjoy a comfortable shower experience. The shower is enclosed by a white and chrome sliding door, providing a sleek, modern look while maximising accessibility. The sliding door design allows for easy entry and exit, making it an ideal choice for a mobility-friendly bathroom.
Inside the shower, we added a white rail to provide extra stability, ensuring that our client can move confidently and comfortably within the space. The shower tray offers a stable, slip-resistant surface, enhancing safety without compromising on aesthetics. The white rail and chrome details blend seamlessly with the rest of the bathroom, preserving the room’s cohesive, luxurious feel.
To complete the design, we installed a vertical white radiator with an integrated chrome towel rail, adding both warmth and convenience. This feature provides a comfortable environment, ensuring that towels are always within easy reach and warm for a cosy post-shower experience. The clean, minimalist design of the radiator complements the bathroom’s modern aesthetic, while the chrome towel rail mirrors the other chrome accents in the room, creating a sense of unity.
